Does aquarium salt murk up tanks?
Q. I added 4 tablespoons of aquarium salt to my 20g tank to help my goldfish(ammonia burn), and the water seems to be murky? Is this caused by the salt? I did a 40% water change this morning so I know it most likely is, but I just want to be sure. Also, when should I next add the aquarium salt to the fishes tank to help with the ammonia? A. Aquarium salt isn't meant to be used for ammonia burns, it won't do anything for that. Salt is used for nitrite poisoning. If you have ammonia in your tank, then your tank is still cycling. That's what's causing the cloudiness, it's natural for your tank to be cloudy while this is happening. But you do need to lower the ammonia if your fish is showing ammonia burns, do a 50% water change, then test your water tomorrow to see how much is left in the tank. If it's more than 0.5-1.0, do another 50% change. You need to have a test kit or have a pet store test a sample of your water.

Can wearing glasses weaken the eye's colour?
Q. I've been wearing increasingly stronger glasses for short-sightedness every day since I was about 11 years old (I'm now nearly 30!). Since that time it seems that the original colour of my eyes - a very bright and even dark brown - has been "watered down" into a murk of grey, green and light brown. A. Your eyes can change color slightly...with the seasons sometimes and even with different moods...but not drastically. Over time the pigment in your eyes may fade abit and not be quite as bright. This has nothing to do with wearing glasses, it's just a time thing. Besides, even if it did make a difference, would you rather have bright eyes and be blind, or a bit more dull eyes and be able to see :-) Hope this helps! :-)
